We had a wonderful Christmas. This was the first year since we have been married that we haven't been with our families, and it was strange, but at the same time it was fun to do things on our own.
The day started at 6 a.m., and we were done opening presents at about 8 a.m. This year, the big present was the Polar Express train that Santa put around the Christmas tree. I think Pete was more excited than the kids were for that. He had a similar train growing up, and I caught him numerous times throughout the day playing with the train, and there were no kids around. It is a Lionel, O Gauge, that we plan on adding track and a car to every year.
This year, Santa brought more presents than he ever has, and we need to tell him not to bring so many next year! But we had so much fun!
Here is a quick list of some of the treasured gifts:
Noah: 5 transformers of different sizes, movies, books, cars, a bean bag chair, and a V-Motion.
Annie: Kitchen, a bean bag chair, Sleeping Beauty doll, barbie horse, soccer ball, and books.
Cooper: Little People Farm, ride-on giraffe, books, a bean bag chair.
Pam: 2 temple pictures, books, kitchen stuff.
Pete: I-pod, church CD's, movies.
At around noon, a few of our friends and the sister missionaries all came over for lunch. It was yummy! We had turkey, ham, cheesy potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, artichoke dip, veggies, and a million treats!

It was our first year without family too - kinda exciting. Although I will be happy when next year we have our own Christmas morning but then get family too for the rest of the day!
