PhotoStory Friday: Project 365, Week 46

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and Lolli

Day 314, November 12
Ok, I was reaaaally searching for something to take a picture of today.
I settled on this knob, on the drawer of a cabinet that I was told was from Belgium.
I don't know if I really believe it, but I'd like to think it's true.

Day 315, November 13
I took some family photos today.
These two are of no relation at all.
Unless you count being 'connected at the hip' as related.

Yep, they're Best Friends.

Day 316, November 14
I took some more family photos today.
Actually, I took photos of two brothers AND a single little girl... but not together.
This is Jayce, the youngest of the brothers.
Don't let this angel face deceive you.  He has wild running through his veins.

Day 317, November 15
I haven't bought coke in almost seven months.....
This can only mean one thing....
PETE IS ON HIS WAY HOME!!!!

Day 318, November 16
I donated blood today.  They almost wouldn't let me because I was borderline anemic (which I always am, they just pointed it out this time).  I don't mind being bruised in the arm for a few days, and the huge needle doesn't bother me.
But the stupid little prick on my finger didn't stop bleeding for hours.  At one point, while at the grocery store, I had to grab a box of Hello Kitty band-aids, open it up and stick one on my finger.

I promise I bought the box of band-aids.

Day 319, November 17
We went to a birthday party tonight for a friend at school.  There were about 20 kids, and
a WHOLE LOTTA chaos.  But they had a great time.

Day 320, November 18
This is what happens when you put a plastic bowl on a hot burner.

Take note.

Day 307, November 5
The Rogers Family.
Aren't they cute?
We actually got quite a few shots with baby Cade smiling (at his aunt Hannah who was standing behind me), but this is one of my favorites.

Day 308, November 6
Remember these things?
For some reason I thought they were extinct... the toys, not the dinosaurs.
My kids thought these were the most amazing things ever.

I'm not sure why, but when I see these little things, I think of Bear Lake... can anyone tell me why?

Day 309, November 7
Just the boys, hanging out, watching TV.

Day 310, November 8
I took Cooper in for a haircut today- he was starting to  look like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo.
This isn't the best shot, but when he gets his haircut, he spends the entire time making faces at himself in the mirror.
I guess it's better than screaming...

Day 311, November 9
I went out for a family shoot and totally chased the light.
I FAILED.
We are re-shooting tomorrow.
So I took this on my drive home.

Day 312, November 10
These yummy pumpkin muffins have a delicious surprise in the middle:
Cream Cheese.

Day 313, November 11
Tonight was the annual Lanternfest at Annie and Cooper's kindergarten.  Each child makes a lantern, and the walks with their family in a parade when it gets dark.   We had a great time; the kids have been looking forward to it all week long.
I wish Pete could have been here for it.

And on that note, today is Veterans Day.  I am always grateful on this day, but today I am especially grateful.
My husband is on his way home from Afghanistan right now.  He won't be home for a few weeks, but there is a light at the end of this deployment tunnel.  And we can't wait for him to get home!

PhotoStory Friday: Project 365, Week 44

Day 300, October 29
Noah's school Halloween party.
Only a few kids (including mine) actually painted faces on their pumpkins.  Most of them just mixed all the paint together and smeared it all over the pumpkins.

Day 301, October 30
Little J.
He would not smile for anything... unless he used his fingers....

Day 302, October 31
The kids and I baked cookies on this fine Halloween day.

Day 303, November 1
The sunset was amazing tonight, and all of us on the street took a picture.
Mine would have been much better if this house weren't in the way.

Day 304, November 2
Mike and Melisa.
We had fun taking pictures on this chilly day.
I haven't finished with the pictures yet, but I knew when I took this one that it would be one of my favorites.

Day 305, November 3
This week we made a countdown calendar for Pete's return.  We are hoping he gets home at the end of the month, but we don't have an exact date yet.  So we left the calendar open, and we'll see what day he actually returns.

Day 306, November 4
Have I mentioned that we have to recycle everything here?
This is our paper bin, which is only emptied once a month, and that we also share with our neighbors.  Sometimes it gets really full, and our solution is to have the kids jump up and down on it to pack it in.
Tonight all of my kids, and two of my neighbors joined in the fun.

The Last Days Of Fall...

I actually took these a few weeks ago, but they're blog-worthy, so here you go.
