PSF: Project 365, Week 19

365
Hosted by Chris

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and Lolli

Day 127, Day 7
As Cecily so nicely put it: "These guys are my other boyfriends!"
I had a rough day.
Pete left for his deployment, I was grieving for a neighbor,
and I got my fine for the fence incident: 250 Euro. That's about $375.
I cried a lot today.
Ben and Jerry helped a little bit.

Day 128, May 8
My wonderful friend brought me a deployment survival kit.
This was my favorite part.
Not because I like lifesavers (which by the way, I do!), but because it reminded me that although the next little bit will be rough, I can still help others.

Day 129, May 9
Mother's Day.
I set up the tri-pod to catch a loving, tender moment with my children.
This is what I got.

Day 130, May 10
I thought all day about taking a picture, and at about 8 pm I finally did it.
Sorry it's so boring. Most of my shots looked like crud. So you get to see the rail on my front porch.

Day 131, May 11
This is my backyard.

Ok, maybe not. But my backyard is starting to resemble this due to all the rain we have had.
These are dandelions, and there are so many fields that look like this. We also have fields full of rapeseed, which are also yellow, so a drive through Bavaria right now is very, very bright.

Day 132, May12
1 cute kid
+ 1 snotty nose
+ lots of playing outside
= THIS

Day 133, May 13
How do you grieve for someone who lost a child in her 39th week of pregnancy?
This week, I am learning how.
Our friend and neighbor gave birth to a stillborn last week, and we have all been grieving since. Dinners were planned, arrangements for her other children were made, and a memorial service took place.
I am sure I will write more about this when I figure out the right words.
Tonight was my turn to take dinner, and I took this little stitching as well.
Baby Piwe, we will miss you.

My best friend lost a stillborn at 37 weeks. It was one of the most awful experiences of my life. I am so sorry that your friend and you have to go through that. I will hope and pray that she can make it through this difficult time and that you may be strong enough to help her. I know how difficult it can be to just watch and feel utterly helpless. It sucks. My heart goes out to her and her family.

Oh Pam! I am so sorry for your week filled with sadness. I can not imagine how difficult it must be to have your husband gone. That has to be the hardest thing. And then to have to help your neighbor thru this terrible time... oh. It is just too sad for words. I will pray for you tonight.

I love your family picture. So beautiful.

I can't even imagine helping somebody through that process...you are a good friend, and I'm sorry your friend has to go through that.

I love your Mother's Day "tender" moment!

Phish Food!

I'm turning off the computer right now, and going to the store!

I'm sorry for the rough week -- after everything else, the fine for the fence would have sent me postal.

I can't imagine losing a child ever -- especially just at the beginning of life. You are a great healer Pam, you'll be a great help to them.

The family picture is pretty much what I'd expect from you weirdos :)
