Photostory Friday: I Pledge Allegance

PhotoStory Friday

During the parade on the 4th of July, the American flag came by, as usual. If Noah had been with me, I would have asked him to do it, but I just had Annie. So I told her that when the flag goes by we should always put our hand on our heart. She looked down, pointed to where her heart was, and carefully placed her hand there. It was the sweetest part of my day, and actually brought a little tear to my eye.
I have a respect for this country, and for those who have served, are currently serving, and will serve in the future. I hope that I can teach my children the same respect for their country and those who serve, just so they can be safe.

I'm going to try and have a picture taken of me in uniform saluting the flag. I want this picture hung next to it. I shed tears when I read the story of it.
