The Emmons Come For A Visit

Pete's parents, Terry and Dorrie visited us in late September.  Pete picked them up at the airport and then drove to Garmisch, and the kids and I met them there later that day.  We hung out at the Edelweiss for the evening and then got up the next day and headed to Linderhof Palace in Ettal.

On our way back to the hotel we stopped at our favorite wood working shop and then the Ettal Monastery.  This is another beautiful stop.

Our last stop for the day was Lake Eibsee, at the bottom of the Zugspitze.

The Temple With The Tuckers

In December, Pete and I were able to take a trip to the Frankfurt, Germany Temple to escort two of our wonderful friends through the temple.  This was one of the most amazing experiences I've had here in Germany, and one of the sweetest moments in my life.  Pete followed me around the Temple grounds on Friday night after the temple session while I took pictures.  It had snowed while we were driving there, so the entire place was covered when we got there.  It was so amazingly beautiful.

And on Saturday morning Bryan and Elizabeth were sealed together, and their children Giovani and Sicily were sealed to them.  And all these people came to support them.  Our ward is absolutely amazing.

Shamrock Shuffle

We attended the Shamrock Shuffle again this year, held at the gym on post.  We took Bailey and Joey with us to relieve Tera of extra kids for the weekend.  We all had so much fun.

This isn't a great shot, but he and Annie decided to run the mile race as well.  Noah finished in just under 11 minutes and Annie finished in about 13.  Pretty darn good for a first mile run!
